More than a story of loss, this is a testament to the enduring bonds of love, the unseen support that surrounds us, and the truth that those we love never truly leave us.
What Readers Are Saying

Carolyne
A Truly Extraordinary Read. I have just finished reading Never Alone by my very first best friend, Joanna Walsh, and I am struggling to find words that do justice to what I have just experienced. This is far more than a book. It is an intimate invitation into Jo's heart, a deeply personal account of grief, healing, spiritual awakening, and transformation. Every page is infused with vulnerability, honesty, and courage. Knowing Jo makes the experience even more profound, but I believe anyone who reads this book will be touched by the universal themes of love, loss, hope, and connection that run through it. What moved me most was Jo's willingness to share her journey so openly. Through cherished memories, moments of pain, spiritual discovery, and ultimately healing, she allows the reader to walk beside her as she navigates life after the loss of her father. Her words are raw, authentic, and beautifully human. I felt incredibly privileged to read Never Alone and to share in Jo's journey. There were moments that made me reflect deeply on my own life, on the people I have loved, and on the enduring bonds that continue long after someone has gone. The book offers comfort, inspiration, and a gentle reminder that we are often supported in ways we cannot always see. Jo has written something very special. Never Alone is a testament to love, resilience, faith, and the transformative power of opening one's heart. I absolutely loved it and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a book that is both deeply moving and profoundly uplifting.
How Never Alone Was Created
Never Alone was written during a deeply emotional time in my life. I was grieving the loss of my father, navigating the distress of my mother being scammed, and experiencing a profound spiritual transformation through the Keahak program with Crimson Circle.

It felt important to begin the book in my hometown of Levin, New Zealand, where I had returned to care for my mother after her hip surgery.

The writing came through like dictation. I would tune into Dad and sometimes other beings, listening and trusting what I received. Not everything arrived as words. Sometimes there were images, impressions, a sense of something, or memories that surfaced as I wrote.

Through this process, I explored my innermost feelings, painful experiences and the spiritual understandings unfolding in my everyday life. I also revisited memories of Dad—his childhood in England during the Second World War, his move to New Zealand with two young children, and our life and relationship there.

Written in dated diary entries, the book follows these experiences as they unfolded. I kept editing to a minimum because I wanted to preserve the authenticity of what I received and how I felt in those moments.

Never Alone is a deeply personal record of grief, memory, love and my experience of connection beyond the veil.
